Jinshitan Rare Stones Museum is the largest stone-collection museum in China, known as "Stone Capital", collecting about a thousand treasures of more than 200 species, some of which such as Spray Stone, Boshan Stripe Stone and Kunlun Color Jade are known as "The Best in China".
The stone in Jinshitan is more valuable than gold due to its unique, world rare and non-renewable characteristics. Jinshitan is known as "Rare Stones Garden", dotted with many pink reefs and golden stones, looks like a huge flower, so aptly named it by people as Rose Garden and Golden Stones Garden.
Those pink reefs were formed through fossil of algae heaped up 0.7 billion years ago. During high tide, they set off by azure blue seawater like blooming flowers, when the sea goes out, stepping on the smoothly lade-like cobbles as if entering into a dream-like world, which are a magnet for tourists from around the world.
Jinshitan is a feast to eyes due to those incredible stones, such as elephant drinking water, roc spreading the wings, fierce tiger catching foods and dinosaur swallow seas. However the king of those stones belongs to the precious Turtle Stone, like the carapace of a turtle, bestrewed with palm-size red lattices with green borders. It is the best of the gold stones, famous at home and abroad and is known as "The Best Rare Stone on Earth" and highly praised as the largest and prettiest Turtle Stone in the world.
